Ta-Da!

So just to re-cap, I was not trying to be all exclusive or diss anyone when I went "private" on ya'll. In case you missed my last post, Eric had to go to Survival Training and the rumor was that the psychos that run the place use blog information to mess with the guys heads. He's back now. He is 15lbs thinner..... I know, I know. Many of you are asking, "did he really have 15lbs to lose?" Well, before he left, he put on almost TWENTY! So unfair. You could barely even tell a difference and then a couple days locked in a cage or evading the enemy and he's back to his old svelte self. Whatever.
Man, oh man. Three weeks is a looooong time to be here in Enid with the two girls and no Eric. I can't WAIT for his first deployment. Actually we did really well. I stayed busy getting the house ready for our move. The move out here was pretty painless but this round has proven really exhausting. It won't make sense to anyone who isn't entrenched in the bureaucracy that is our military life, but there is so much junk you have to go through just to MOVE! It's insane. I'm just so happy that Eric is back to deal with it. And for those who are not privy to our itinerary, we have a little detour before we can head back to Salt Lake City. On Friday, we are off to Altus, OK for more training. Now Lt. Cronk will learn to fly his chosen 'airframe' which is the KC-135. So the plan is to accompany him for as long as we can possibly stand it. We will be living in a glorified hotel room. By 'glorified', I mean it has a (drumroll please...) "full size refrigerator and two-burner cook top". No oven. No bathtub (that's the rumor, anyways). It DOES have one separate bedroom. So we will be taking turns sleeping on the hide-a-bed and the real bed. Guess how long? Four to Five months! We're trying to view it as a big, long vacation. There are some pretty fun swimming pools on the base down there so we are focusing on that. We just have to get through the first 60 days until they open.....
