Rainy Run
Yesterday was my second race. It was the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon, in memory of the OKC bombing. It was neat to run for a cause this time, instead of just for fun. It was an early run, 6:30am, and it was pretty drizzly and dark when Krista and I arrived at the starting corral. I'm all for running in the rain, but WAITING 40 minutes to run in the rain sort of sucks. But it's like a carnival atmosphere, everyone friendly with one another and hopped up on caffeine and other performance enhancing supplements. We had a great time! It's sort of a blur in my mind- it went really fast this time. The run was beautiful, we watched the sunrise, and the spectators were wonderful. The water tables were stocked with bananas and pretzels and all sorts of helpful stuff. Our goal was to beat our last time and come in under 2 hours. Happily we can both say WE DID IT! My official time was 1:57:07- and that works for me! I thought I was just 'fair to middlin' but when I checked the stats, I was in the top 10 percent of my division and the top 16 percent overall. Yes, that's me bragging. I hope I will be forgiven, I need some strokes, okay people? I am so happy to have another race under my belt! Krista- you are the best! I love running with you and sharing my energy beans and water with you! Thank you so much for meeting us in OKC and being the best running partner EVER! Run like a girl!!

Yippe, Skippy, I am so glad it went well. You gals look so cute after your run, you make it look like a walk in the park. Congratulations, I hope you are recovering well. P.S. I like the Anti-Mini Van Statement.
Wow, you guys are amazing! Way to go! You are nearly inspiring enough to make ME want to run, and man that is sayin' something.
CONGRATS!! Seeing you guys out there running makes me so excited for when I can get back into it!! Well congrats on yet another race under your belt, and I would be bragging too if I had stats like that:)
Your legs are killer! Congrats on finishing another race! Pretty dang exciting! I to am going to embark on my virgin half marathon. Jullian and I are going to take a stab at it. We start training May 5th. Can I call for some pointers? Just as long as I get gams like the ones you got! Loved your updates! So fun to read.
Love,
Mind'
Hill-
You are awesome! It sounds like so much fun. You are going to have to fill me in on your training tips. I run and do sprints all the time but it never gets comfortable and I am always wanting to stop. Runners high? Never. What is your secret?
Jen
