Franny turned two on November 30! It was also the date of Eric's Assignment Night. I will write more on that later but I didn't get any good pictures so for now it's all 'bout Fran. Let's go back to a month or so ago. Eric says "so what're we doing for Fran's birthday?" I'm like "Umm.... we're going to your assignment night and eating free pizza". He says "well she got gypped last year when we moved in!" and I'm like "Ummmm....yeah?". So anyways, I get sucked into starting the ridiculously overblown planning of Frances' second birthday party. Like I tell people: it's a sickness. I'm not kidding. Why can't I go to WalMart, buy some streamers, plates, a sheet cake, and call it a party?? Why can't I BUY invitations? Why do I do it? I cannot say. But here's what I do know: it's not happening again, not for a long time. I mean, while I was planning this toddler's party, Eric was preparing for his FINAL CHECKRIDE here at Vance. And he's not super available, if you get my drift. His mind and total focus are elswhere. So this is how it went: Mon: Eric flies ALL day. Tues; Eric flies ALL day. Wed: Eric Flies ALL day. Thurs: Eric CHECKS! Fri: Assignment Night! Sat: Franny's Birthday Party! So what I'm getting at, whining about, harping on, is that I was flying solo on this gig.
When Saturday morning rolls around, Krista comes to assist me in carrying out my masochistic plans. Okay- I guess I better let up a bit or you're going to think I had a 3 ring circus going on. It was not like that. This circus had only 1 ring. If you hadn't guessed, we did a circus theme, and it was pretty dang fun! For food we had all sorts of carnival-worthy stuff like popcorn chicken, mini hot dogs, mini corn dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and FUNNEL CAKE!..... my belly felt like it was full of lead when we were done. Eric wore a clown wig and nose and made balloon animals, which captivated the 21 and older males more than any of the kids. Our poor sweet friend, Lily couldn't stop crying and buried her head for a good 15 minutes after spotting Eric in his getup. But we had lots of fun. And most importantly, I think Franny had a blast. She felt so special, it made my psychosis seem worth it. She kept saying "Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me". We didn't even have a meltdown. It was great. Next year Eric's in charge. Streamers, plates, and a sheetcake- mark my words.

SO CUTE!!! I bet Franny had a blast! you guys are adorable!
You are FANTASTIC Hillary...a real "party animal". You could hire out as an "event planner" but we'd rather you just keep being the SUPERMOM that you are now. Glad to see that Eric got involved to....clowning around!!
You are a madwoman. Funnel Cakes? Were you just trying to make us jealous? I am sure Franny loved it. See you in 20!
We had a blast at your wonderful event. I am glad that I got to be "a helper" with it all.
Great party! Brian and I both had so much fun. I think Santa might have to bring him a bowling set for Christmas- he loved bowling at your house!
WOW- just looked at your marathon pictures and i think me and olivia are the same height.
I loved your party, I have to say the theme was amazing, you did a wonderful job at everything!! And I loved the balloon making, I just threw my wannabe rhino away yesterday :)
